Submit Artwork

There are a couple of ways you can submit artwork for inclusion in the WEA's galleryonline.

The work you submit must have been completed as part of a WEA course anywhere in the country.

However you choose to send us images of your work you will need all of the files or photos referenced with a completed submission form. Click to download it here as a word document.

This must then be either emailed to: srushton@wea.org.uk

or posted to:

Steve Rushton
Galleryonline Submissions

You can then send your images separately through one of the following methods:

Upload to online gallery:
Choose an online gallery of your choice and upload your images here, then send us the web link to your gallery so we can view the images.

Here are a few sites we recommend:

www.photobox.com
www.kodakgallery.com
www.flickr.com
www.snapfish.com

It is important that you name your files correctly so they match up to the Word document you must provide to accompany any submission to Galleryonline. You can rename your files in windows before you upload them online or after when you are inside the online gallery of your choice.

Below are instructions on the format of file names required:

You can change the name of any file on your computer by locating it in windows explorer. Right click on the file and choose rename. This will highlight the name of the file and let you change it.

Note: if any of your files have .jpeg or .jpg at the end of the file name leave this unchanged as this is the file type and changing this could make the file unreadable.

Change all your images to the following format:
01_BlueMountains_PhilGood.jpg or
01_Title_FullName.jpg

01 is to number each piece
BlueMountains represents the title of your piece and
PhilGood represents your full name.

Once you have correctly named all of your pieces you need to create a reference text or word document that contains the following information for each piece you upload. You should have already downloaded this word document using the above link.

For each piece uploaded we need as much information as possible:
Title
Full Name of Artist
Date of Completion
Course this was created on
The Region in which you studied
A descriptive sentence about the piece
Tutors full name
The Medium it is created in ie Oil on Canvas
The size in cm or meters
The Price if for sale (this will not be displayed and we will contact you if anyone is interested in a purchase)

If you use our template, the boxes are all there for you, waiting to be filled in.
