Online Learning simply is learning on the internet rather than in a class room, although a lot of our courses are held in a class room with a Tutor present to help you along. Why would I be interested in Online Learning? Learning through the internet is new but will soon be common place. It is a fantastic way to learn if you live in a remote area or have difficulty traveling or leaving the home. It can also be cheaper than doing a face to face course as the costs for materials, classrooms and tutors are less. You can share your experience with learners anywhere in the world. You may be at home learning but you will be able to communicate with all the other students on your course through our VLE (virtual learning environment). This is better than email as you will be able to chat live, send messages, upload and share files such as images, course work and resources. All the resources you need are right to hand. Once you become familiar with the internet based environment you will be able to find images, articles, definitions and answers to all your assignment questions. No need to wait for the library to open and no need to buy an expensive dictionary or encyclopedia. How does it all work? We use an internet based program called, Moodle, This is essentially a virtual classroom, in fact it's a virtual school.
